Anthony Potter, a second year student in the MFT Program at Valdosta State University was honored as one of two Christus Powell Minority Scholarship recipients for 2013.
The scholarship awards were announced at the annual conference of the Georgia Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (GAMFT) held at the beginning of May on St. Simon’s Island.
Christus Powell is an annual award given through GAMFT and the Powell Fellowship to those students who have obtained the highest recommendations from their faculty. It awards a single minority student $1500 or two minority students $750 each. In addition, the recipients are given free attendance at the annual conference and honored with a luncheon.
