Dr. Larry Hilgert Lauded by the Georgia Association of School Psychologists

Dr. Larry Hilgert of the Department of Psychology and Counseling has been recognized for significant contributions to the field of school psychology throughout his career.  Dr. Karen Hodges, Past President of the Georgia Association of School Psychologists, has written a formal commendation of Dr. Hilgert.  The award states, “ This is to acknowledge the outstanding contribution that Larry Hilgert has made to the Georgia Association of School Psychologists (GASP). He has been elected by members of the organization to serve on the Executive Board for many years and has provided much support and knowledge to our state organization.  He is talented and committed to our profession which specializes in psychology and education. 

As a school psychologist, he teaches application of the principles of learning and motivation to the challenges of schooling and providing a wide range of services to students, parents, teachers, and administrators in the school system.”
