Amy Wisenbaker graduated from Valdosta State University in May 2013 with her degree in Speech Communication. She has since worked as a project coordinator for ITI-Marketing and is currently a catering assistant at Jekyll Island Club Hotel.

Wisenbaker said the VSU Speech Communication Program helps her succeed because she learned how to communicate effectively with people and to analyze different job situations before making major decisions.

As a student, Wisenbaker was on the VSU Dean’s List and was involved in many organizations including the Public Relations Student Society of

Zeta Tau Alpha, Lambda Pi Eta National Communication Honor

Society, Student Society of Communication Scholars, Greek Ambassadors, Order of Omega, Greek Honor Society, and VSU Speech Communications Ambassadors.

Her advice for the upcoming Speech Communication graduates is to keep possibilities open, apply for everything, hand out business cards, and network, network, network!
