During the summer, several renovation projects will be occurring in the library. On the fourth floor, the office suite of the Library Science School is being expanded. On the second floor, the Center for eLearning office suite will undergo a major makeover and, also on the second floor, the library’s reference department office suite is being enlarged. Please “pardon our progress†during these projects. These projects will begin the week of June 3rd and should be completed by early August.
Learn, Study, Discover
The first floor, original side, of Odum Library is closed for renovation.
The bound periodicals are still on the first floor, covered with huge sheets of plastic.
Librarians, faculty, students, and staff are not allowed into the construction zone, for safety reasons. If you need a bound periodical, microfiche, or microfilm that is located in the construction zone, you need to fill in a request form…
A designated library employee will retrieve the item for you, as soon as is safely possible.
Request forms are located at the main Circulation Desk and the Reference Desk.
Odum Library is open! Except for the north entrance.
The north entrance is temporarily closed while construction workers work on the roof. Please use the other entrance in the meantime. We apologize for the inconvenience.
The second floor is still closed for renovations, but they took down the plywood partitions near the staiwell and we can see how things are progressing.
The GHP Collection has been moved from the third floor to the first floor. It is now located to the right of the Reserves desk, as you enter the North, campus-facing, entrance.
The Mac Computers are located on the 1st Floor along the wall behind the microfilm cabinets. As you walk in the front entrance, go past the stair well and look to the right.
As you walk in the north entrance the Circulation Desk is directly in front you. The Reserves Desk is to your right and the IT Help Desk is to the left.
The only real difference is that all three desk are on the first floor, instead of the second floor.
FAMC Fine Art Prints are located on the first floor, adjacent to newspaper microfilm cabinets.
GHP Music Scores
Located in room 1617 on the first floor. The GHP Music Scores are to the left as you enter the door.
Moving takes a lot of people.
Sometimes it gets messy.
After the mess you have emptiness.
Areas that were tidy, are not tidy anymore.
Bizarre accidents happen. Not to worry, no books (or librarians) were harmed.
Soon we will be all tidy and organized again. Ths is a library, after all.
