I create animations because they allow me to tell stories and convey information in ways that are pleasing to the viewer. I can achieve this with an exploration of the technical aspects behind setting up a stage for a scene, the way an exaggerated character moves, or how every sensual element comes together to form one image. My eagerness to work with animation branches from a love of technology, the joy of acting, and a desire to create fiction.
The process of creating a scene involves various techniques and software. For instance, I use Bullet Dynamics, which simulates the laws of physics on an object, and Inverse Kinematics which is a tool that moves characters and models in a manner much like puppeteering. Beyond animation skills I have also developed an understanding of character design, displaying harmonious imagery between my characters and the environments in which they reside.
With these tools in hand, the animations I make are different enough from each other to not only entertain me while working on them, but also hopefully the viewer when seeing the final results.
