Total Eclipse of the Art

The solar eclipse was not the only spectacle that happened on August 21, 2017. Valdosta State University kicked off the semester with its first opening of the academic year in the Dedo Maranville gallery by showcasing the faculty’s artwork. Blazers Faculty Burn Bright at Fine Arts Exhibition

Electricity was in the air this fall at the Valdosta State University Art and Design Faculty Exhibition opening reception in the Dedo Maranville Fine Arts Gallery. Upon entering one would notice the dim lights casting a slight shadow on each piece while soft music from the VSU Jazz Band floated in the background. Not only were the refreshments satisfying, but also the seemingly random arrangement of the show instead each work being lumped together in groups by similar medium.
