The two &#8211; hour show was held in the Student Union Theatre, and winners earned gift certificates to Best Buy for the Audience Favorite category, as voted by the attendees.\u00a0 The program included ads, PSA\u2019s, promotional, short films, mini-documentaries, children\u2019s educational, and news pieces.\u00a0\u00a0 It was attended by almost one hundred people.<\/p>\n<p>A horror film, \u201cBlood and Iron,\u201d by Saige Ashe, John Brown, Taren Pineset, and Max Steele, won First Place.\u00a0 The story involved a pair of young women travelers who are trapped inside a locked building with a mysterious cult leader and her followers.\u00a0 It was directed by Taren Pineset and Max Steele, written by Max Steele, and starred Kayley Tudor and Alez Robinson.<\/p>\n<p>Second Place went to \u201cThe Girlfriend Show,\u201d a comedy talk show parody of a \u201cSaturday Night Live\u201d sketch. It described the predicament of a young man preparing his new girlfriend to meet his strange family for the holidays.\u00a0 The piece was created by Emma Golden, Jakob Parris, Orianna Merritt, Ryan Bryant, Kennedi Mitchell, and Zachary Frasu.\u00a0 It starred Ryan Bryant and Orianna Merritt as the couple.<\/p>\n<p>Third Place went to \u201cIn Sickness and In Health,\u201d a drama about a young woman dealing with cancer, and the dilemma of how to tell her boyfriend. The makers were Saige Ashe, John Brown, Mikayla Mummaw, and Kayley Tudor.\u00a0 It was directed by Saige Ashe, and starred Vanessa Benitez and Levi Johnson.<\/p>\n<p>FVS Faculty Advisor Dennis Conway and President Peter Falkenhausen hosted the event. FVS Officers James Hourigan, Cameron Tudor, Matt Snow, Nathan Ragland, and Amanda Reeves served as Production Crew, along with Amy Cash.<\/p>\n<p>The FVS will hold its Spring 2019 Showcase in May, as well as other events in the Spring.
