Tuesday Oct 29, 2019 at 7:30PM, Whitehead Auditorium.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Concert is FREE!!!<\/strong><\/p>\n Concert Pianist, Natsuki Fukasawa is making a stop here at VSU on her tour which will take her to Alabama, Georgia, Florida, New York and Calgary Canada.\u00a0 Natsuki will be playing music by: Liszt, Chopin, Faure, Aguila, Janacek, and living composer Knable.\u00a0 Knable is the featured work of the program titled”36 Views of Mount Fuji” (the most beautiful mountain in Japan), and\u00a0 the piece will be accompanied by 36 beautiful picture slides during the performance.<\/p>\n I hope you will be able to come and enjoy.<\/p>\n Thank you.<\/p>\n Joshua Pifer, Assistant Professor of Piano, Piano Area Head at VSU<\/p>\n Biography:<\/p>\n Steinway Artist Natsuki Fukasawa<\/strong>‘s music career has taken her throughout U.S. cities as well as to Europe, Scandinavia, Israel, Australia, Brazil, Japan and China, performing at such venues as Carnegie Hall, Kennedy Center and Copenhagen\u2019s Tivoli Concert Hall. Fukasawa has won many accolades and international prizes, including rave reviews in Strad <\/em>and Fanfare<\/em> magazines and the Best Chamber Music Recording of the Year from the Danish Music Awards.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Ms. Fukasawa\u2019s performance highlights include a tour of Italy performing Gershwin’s Concerto in F<\/em> as well as performances of Beethoven’s Third<\/em> and Fourth Piano Concerti<\/em>, Brahms Piano Concerto No. 1, <\/em>Chopin Second Piano Concerto, <\/em>Dohnanyi’s Variations on a Nursery Song, <\/em>Mozart’s A Major Concerto, K. 488, <\/em>Rachmaninoff’s Second Piano Concerto<\/em> and Ravel Concerto in G <\/em>with orchestras in California.
