Born in Ichihara City, Chiba Prefecture, Japan, he is a master at the sgraffito technique, which involves the etching and carving of intricate designs into ceramic surfaces. He holds a master\u2019s degree in ceramics from California State University and a bachelor\u2019s degree in art from Loma Linda University. He will be demonstrating from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day in Fine Arts Building Room 1054. Faculty, staff, students, retirees, alumni, and friends of the university are invited to attend this free event and come and go as their schedule allows. He previously visited the university in 2015.
