Dewar College of Education and Human Services.<\/p>\n<p>VSU will celebrate its 223<sup><span style=\"font-size: small\">rd<\/span><\/sup> commencement on Friday, May 5, and Saturday, May 6.<\/p>\n<p>McCullers will serve as the official banner carrier for the College of the Arts during the undergraduate commencement ceremony at 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 6, on the VSU Front Lawn. She will graduate with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in theatre.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am so proud of how my hard work has paid off,\u201d she said. \u201cI am amazed to be receiving this honor and to be recognized as a leader for my classmates.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>During her time as a student at VSU, McCullers was a regular on the Dean\u2019s List, an Honors Scholar and a member of Alpha Lambda Delta: National Honor Society for First-Year Students, The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, Golden Key International Honour Society, the TBNL (To Be Named Later) Improv Troupe, the Theatre and Dance Box Office staff, and Alpha Psi Omega: National Theatre Honor Society, where she served as president and treasurer. She was part of a panel presentation on higher education and grading systems at VSU\u2019s 2015 Conference on Instructional Technologies, Innovations, and Educational Strategies, or TIES Conference, and has volunteered her time to serve as a simulated patient to train students in the School of Nursing. She was a part of several Theatre and Dance productions, including \u201cA Midsummer Night\u2019s Dream,\u201d \u201cInto the Woods,\u201d \u201cBunnicula,\u201d Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind,\u201d \u201cThe Tempest,\u201d \u201cThe Wiz,\u201d \u201cShe Stoops to Conquer,\u201d \u201cEvita,\u201d and \u201cAs You Like It.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>McCullers\u2019s commitment to academic, creative, and service excellence on campus, in the community, and around the world resulted in her earning the Golden Circle Scholarship and the National Guard Insurance Trust Scholarship.
