The Dedo Maranville Fine Arts Gallery presents the B.F.A and B.A. graduates of the VSU Department of Art & Design for the Fall 2017 term. We invite you to join us in a celebration of their accomplishments on Sunday, November 12, from 1 to 3 PM.
\nThe graduate class of fall 2017 will be exhibiting a variety of artwork including drawing, painting, graphic design, photography, mixed media, ceramics, sculpture, computer animation, and jewelry metalworking. The event is free to the public. <\/p>\n
\u201cAs art students, we spend time creating, practicing, and perfecting our craft in the studio. For us, the amount of time spent in the studio equals the success we see in our artwork. The term \u2018after hours\u2019 represents this time, especially when we work after normal school hours. It means working on paintings, ceramics, illustrations, and drawings until your hand cramps up and the sun is just beginning to rise. \u2018After hours\u2019 is that extra effort which takes our art above the \u2018bare minimum.\u2019 We spend countless hours at home and weekends in the studio actualizing our ideas.
