Engineering a Community Partnership

TTL is a local and national geotechnical corporation that has agreed to host a community service event at the Sullivan Literacy Center in the COEHS.  Mr. Keith Reaves, Vice-President & Principal Engineer for TTL,  has a son who has participated in the Literacy Education Assessment Program (L.E.A.P.) at the Sullivan Literacy Center for several semesters.  Mr. Reaves contacted the Sullivan Literacy Center Director, Dr. Gina Doepker, to create a community partnership between TTL and the Sullivan Literacy Center.  Dr. Doepker was thrilled that Mr. Reaves initiated this partnership with the primary goal being to support and serve the community families of Valdosta.

The mission of the Sullivan Literacy Center is to be an integrated system of care for the children and families of Valdosta and the surrounding areas.  This community partnership definitely supports this mission.   After much consideration of possible community service projects, the TTL executives and employees voted to host a Family Literacy Night at the Sullivan Literacy Center.  The Family Literacy Night will be an amazing community service event for TTL, the Sullivan Literacy Center, and the COEHS.
