We seek creative work of all varieties from VSU students\u2014writing, photography, music, film, painting, internet art, whatever.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All submissions can be sent to us at <a href=\"mailto:odradeklitjournal@gmail.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">odradeklitjournal@gmail.com<\/a> While we are wide open to the work we will consider, we ask that writers and artists abide by the following guidelines:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:55px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-x-large-font-size\"><strong>General formatting requirements for written submissions&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Our preference is that manuscripts have 1-inch margins and Times New Roman (or another familiar font) at 12 pt. typeface\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Make sure your preferred name appears somewhere in the file&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>It\u2019s easier for us if you avoid unconventional formatting unless it is required for the artistic meaning of your work&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:55px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-x-large-font-size\"><strong>Fiction &amp; Creative Nonfiction&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Please double-space your manuscript unless the work demands otherwise&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Fiction and Creative Nonfiction submissions should be no longer than approximately 15 pages each (this can be single stories or several shorter works)&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Please send no more than one Fiction or Creative Nonfiction entry at a time (one of each is okay)&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:55px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-x-large-font-size\"><strong>Poetry&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>There is no cap on the number of poems we will consider&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In the spirit of poetry, we will read all you weird little self-introspective verses&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>There are not strict formatting guidelines for poems, though if there is unusual formatting please send your work as a PDF&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:55px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-x-large-font-size\"><strong>Everything Else&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Music should include lyrics and be sent in mp3 format&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Memes must be mildly amusing (and tasteful)&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>There are no limits for the number of photographs, paintings, or other visual artworks we consider&nbsp;(though please use common sense)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>For other forms, have fun and surprise us&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u201cDon&#8217;t bend; don&#8217;t water it down; don&#8217;t try to make it logical; don&#8217;t edit your own soul according to the fashion.
