Browsing Books are located on the first set of bookshelves on the right as you come in the first floor front doors.
Learn, Study, Discover
Moving takes a lot of people.
Sometimes it gets messy.
After the mess you have emptiness.
Areas that were tidy, are not tidy anymore.
Bizarre accidents happen. Not to worry, no books (or librarians) were harmed.
Soon we will be all tidy and organized again. Ths is a library, after all.
The Microfiche collection has been moved to the 1st floor of the addition. Photo 1 below shows the view from the Current Periodical room. The collection is down the hallway to the left, just prior to passing into the original building. Photo 2 shows the collection itself.
The microfiche collection houses a number of valuable resources, including the ERIC educational documents and a large number of government document titles.
Renovation News
This year we’ll begin sprucing up the older part of Odum Library.
This list will help you find things and people that have been moved— such as the Circulation desk, Distance Learning offices, Instructional Materials Collection (IMC), Fine Arts Materials Collection (FAMC), Governor’s Honors Program scores (GHP), and Interlibrary Loan (ILL) offices.

Russell Brand’s My Booky Wook <BROWSE PN1992.4.B69 A3 2009, 1st floor> chronicles the British actor/comedian’s career, addictions and remarkable sexual history (if you haven’t heard of Brand, he played the obnoxious rock star Aldous Snow in Forgetting Sarah Marshall).
Also available in BROWSE this week:
Actor Michael J. Fox’s memoir Always Looking Up: the Adventures of an Incurable Optimist
Mommy-blogger Heather B. Armstrong’s It Sucked and then I Cried: How I Had a Baby, a Breakdown, and a Much Needed Margarita
Actress Mary Tyler Moore’s Growing Up Again: Life, Loves, and Oh Yeah, Diabetes
BROWSE best-sellers are now on the 1st floor, in the older part of the building (the main campus side, towards West Hall).
Everything located on the original second floor (old side of the second floor) is being moved.
If you need help finding something that was on the original second floor please ask us.
We have Live Chat, you can call us at 333-7149, or stop by the Reference Desk or a Circulation desk (located near both entrances).
IMC materials and GHP music scores previously located on the second floor near the Circulation desk have moved downstairs to what was the Newspaper Lounge.
Perplexing Parade of Purple chairs
Visit the Browsing Collection on the first floor. Their new home is quite spacious – plenty of room for visitors to relax.
Lots of popular books hang out here.
