Tomorrow is the first day of Banned Books Week<\/a>, celebrating your right to read what you want to read<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The American Library Association lists the top 10 most challenged* books<\/a> each year since 2001.<\/p>\n

You can check out many of these controversial books<\/a> from Odum Library<\/strong>, including Stephenie Meyers’ Twilight<\/em><\/a>, Mark Twain’s Adventures of Huckleberry Finn<\/em><\/a>, and Robert Cormier’s The Chocolate War<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

*“A challenge<\/a> is an attempt to remove or restrict materials, based upon the objections of a person or group. A banning is the removal of those materials.
