The 2010 filing deadline for federal taxes is now Monday, April 18:\u00c2\u00a0 an extension thanks to Emancipation Day, celebrated on April 15 in the District of Columbia. Be careful, though, since the deadline for filing state taxes is still Friday, April 15.<\/p>\n<p>A lot of other <a href=\"http:\/\/www.irs.gov\/formspubs\/content\/0,,id=178012,00.html\">changes<\/a> have come to 2010 taxes, and of course you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ll need to be sure to use the current (2010) forms. \u00c2\u00a0Find links to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.irs.gov\/individuals\/article\/0,,id=118506,00.html\">commonly requested forms and publications<\/a>, including interactive PDF versions of forms <a href=\"http:\/\/www.irs.gov\/pub\/irs-pdf\/f1040.pdf\">1040<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.irs.gov\/pub\/irs-pdf\/f1040ez.pdf\">1040EZ<\/a>, at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.irs.gov\/individuals\/article\/0,,id=118506,00.html\">1040 Central<\/a>. \u00c2\u00a0There you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ll also find <a href=\"http:\/\/www.irs.gov\/formspubs\/article\/0,,id=96151,00.html\">accessible tax publications<\/a> available in large print, Braille, and talking formats, answers to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.irs.gov\/faqs\/index.html\">frequently asked questions<\/a>, and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.irs.gov\/pub\/irs-pdf\/p17.pdf\">Publication 17<\/a>, \u00e2\u20ac\u0153the only tax guide most individuals need,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d according to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.irs.gov\/index.html\">IRS.gov<\/a>. \u00c2\u00a0For the convenience of filing your tax returns electronically, visit the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.irs.gov\/efile\/index.html\">IRS information for e-file<\/a> page.<\/p>\n<p>Remember that if you aren\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t able to print out forms, or prefer to use pre-printed publications, we have copies of federal forms here at Odum Library, in the Reference area on the second floor. \u00c2\u00a0We can\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t advise you on how to complete your tax return, but we can help you get to forms and instructions, and commiserate!<\/p>\n<p>At Odum we also have plenty of Georgia 2010 Individual Income Tax booklets that include 500 and 500EZ forms and instructions.
