In fact, the effectiveness rating for infographics rose more in one year than any other tactic\u2014from <strong>50 percent to 58 percent<\/strong>, according to the 2016 study by the Content Marketing Institute.<\/p>\n<h3>What\u2019s in an Infographic?<\/h3>\n<p>We hear about infographics all the time in the digital marketing world, but unfortunately, many people are using the word incorrectly.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><em>\u201cAn infographic is not a chart or a collection of graphs &#8211; it tells a story in a visual manner that makes difficult topics easier to digest for readers.\u201d<\/em><br \/>\n<em> -Brian Wallace<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>This particular type of visual storytelling can have a lot of benefits for brands in marketing campaigns by giving consumers content they want and building relationships instead of hard-selling.<\/p>\n<h3>There are several kinds of infographics:<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.jobvine.com\/gig-economy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-8880 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/www.visualstorytell.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/Infographic1.jpg\" alt=\"Gig Economy infographic\" width=\"700\" height=\"497\" \/><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.jobvine.com\/gig-economy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Click to view entire infographic<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>1) Static infographics<\/strong> that start with an idea and then uses visuals and snippets of text to tell a story.
