Before she was Rachel Getting Married or Fantine, Anne Hathaway<\/a> was Mia Thermopolis, Princess of Genovia. According to the author who wrote the books the two “Princess Diaries” books are based on, a return to that fictional kingdom may be the next chapter.<\/span><\/p>\n

Meg Cabot<\/a>, who’s written 14 books in the young-adult series, mentions the idea of making a third movie \u201ckind of as a tribute\u201d to director Garry Marshall, who passed away last year. \u201cSo, who knows? [It] could happen, as we say,” she tells Entertainment Weekly<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Cabot is \u201cnot allowed to say\u201d what a new film might be about, however. \u201cI would love to sit and talk about [it], but I can\u2019t. I\u2019m not allowed. But it\u2019s really more following the movie than the books, so if she \u2014 the last version I read, she definitely did not find out that she has a biracial younger sister \u2026 which I personally would\u2019ve thought was hilarious, but that was not the direction they were going.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
