They aren\u2019t entirely in sync, however \u2014 and, according to VFX supervisor John Nelson, the imperfection was by design.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">&#8220;We&#8217;d rehearse, and then we&#8217;d shoot Mariette first, and then Denis would pick a take, then I would go through that take with the script supervisor,&#8221; Nelson tells <a href=\"http:\/\/www.syfy.com\/syfywire\/how-blade-runner-2049-created-the-most-realistic-hologram-and-wildest-threesome-ever\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Syfy<\/a> about shooting the sequence.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">&#8220;We\u2019d use a stopwatch and time out it: &#8216;At two seconds in she lifts her hand. At four seconds in she touches his face.
