To help you out, we are <strong>highlighting a selection of Canadian artists<\/strong> performing at the <a href=\"\/music\"><strong>2018 SXSW Music Festival<\/strong><\/a> for you to get more familiar with.<\/p>\n<h3>Australian Artists Spotlight<\/h3>\n<p>Colombian-born singer-songwriter <a href=\"https:\/\/schedule.sxsw.com\/2018\/artists\/21024\"><strong>Lido Pimienta<\/strong><\/a>, winner of the 2017 Polaris Music Prize for her recent album <em>La Papessa<\/em>, makes music poised at the intersection of art and social change. Dubbed \u201cone of the most prolific creatives in Toronto\u201d by Complex Magazine, <a href=\"https:\/\/schedule.sxsw.com\/2018\/artists\/17961\"><strong>TiKA<\/strong><\/a> is an R&amp;B star on the rise to look out for. <a href=\"https:\/\/schedule.sxsw.com\/2018\/artists\/19841\"><strong>Anemone<\/strong><\/a>, who recently provided tour support for Allah-Las, creates a psychedelic world rich with twangy guitar riffs and haunting synth lines on top of which float lovestruck vocals. Soulful singer-songwriter <a href=\"https:\/\/schedule.sxsw.com\/2018\/artists\/19169\"><strong>AHI<\/strong><\/a> (pronounced \u201ceye\u201d), recently dropped his debut 2017 album <em>We Made It Through The Wreckage<\/em>. Dream-pop band <a href=\"https:\/\/schedule.sxsw.com\/2018\/artists\/18147\"><strong>Milk &amp; Bone<\/strong><\/a> will their sophomore effort in early 2018, and if their recent single &#8220;Daydream&#8221; is any indication of what to expect, the record will definitely be one to keep an eye out for.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sxsw.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/TiKA-Photo-by-Kadeem-Ellis-640x360.jpeg\" alt=\"2018 Showcasing Artist TiKA\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-31784\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Provocative pop singer <a href=\"https:\/\/schedule.sxsw.com\/2018\/artists\/17613\"><strong>Forever<\/strong><\/a> has gained momentum through her live performances in the lead up to her forthcoming EP, which is set to be released in January 2018. Genre-defying rock act <a href=\"https:\/\/schedule.sxsw.com\/2018\/artists\/18053\"><strong>Partner<\/strong><\/a> recently released their fun and refreshing debut album <em>In Search of Lost Time<\/em>. Cheeky indie pop act <a href=\"https:\/\/schedule.sxsw.com\/2018\/artists\/17992\"><strong>Peach Pit<\/strong><\/a> is generating buzz following the release of their debut LP <em>Being So Normal<\/em>.
