The piece, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2018\/02\/09\/opinion\/smearing-of-woody-allen.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Bret Stephens&#8217; &#8220;The Smearing of Woody Allen,&#8221;<\/a> says that the evidence against Allen is not as strong as it is against Harvey Weinstein and Kevin Spacey, making it dangerous to automatically assume his guilt; Farrow&#8217;s response argues that &#8220;to presume I invented this story &amp; convinced myself of it is no less insulting than calling me a liar.&#8221;<\/p>\n<aside class=\"pmc-related-link read-more\">\n\t\t\t<strong class=\"pmc-related-type\">Read More:<\/strong><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.indiewire.com\/2018\/01\/alec-baldwin-compares-dylan-farrow-to-kill-a-mockingbird-character-rape-1201922490\/\" title=\"Alec Baldwin Compares Dylan Farrow to Character From \u2018To Kill A Mockingbird\u2019 Who Lied About Her Rape\">Alec Baldwin Compares Dylan Farrow to Character From \u2018To Kill A Mockingbird\u2019 Who Lied About Her Rape<\/a><br \/>\n\t\t<\/aside>\n<p>In his article, Stephens writes that &#8220;an in-depth, contemporaneous and independent investigation into the allegations, conducted over several months by the Yale-New Haven Hospital in 1992 and 1993, noted that there were &#8216;important inconsistencies in Dylan\u2019s statements,&#8217; and that &#8216;her descriptions of the details surrounding the alleged events were unusual and were inconsistent.&#8217; It concluded categorically: &#8216;It is our expert opinion that Dylan was not sexually abused by Mr. Allen.&#8217;&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>He also claims that &#8220;it\u2019s precisely because Dylan\u2019s account plays to our existing biases that we need to treat it with added skepticism.
