Barr, whose recently returned sitcom &#8220;Roseanne&#8221; has proven to be a ratings juggernaut, is also an outspoken supporter of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.indiewire.com\/t\/donald-trump\/\" id=\"auto-tag_donald-trump\">Donald Trump<\/a> \u2014 something that makes no sense to Maher. \u201cYou saw a miracle product on TV and you ordered it,&#8221; he said. &#8220;You impulse-purchased a Trump.&#8221;<\/p>\n<aside class=\"pmc-related-link read-more\">\n\t\t\t<strong class=\"pmc-related-type\">Read More:<\/strong><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.indiewire.com\/2018\/04\/bill-maher-ronan-farrow-me-too-aziz-ansari-1201958406\/\" title=\"Bill Maher Asks Ronan Farrow If #MeToo Has Gone Too Far, Says Aziz Ansari Has \u2018Suffered a Lot From It\u2019 \u2014 Watch\">Bill Maher Asks Ronan Farrow If #MeToo Has Gone Too Far, Says Aziz Ansari Has \u2018Suffered a Lot From It\u2019 \u2014 Watch<\/a><br \/>\n\t\t<\/aside>\n<p>\u201cIt promised to drain swamps, build walls, and make things great again, but you got it home and it flooded your basement, maxed out your credit cards, and dropped your phone in the toilet,\u201d Maher added.<\/p>\n<p>Barr&#8217;s character on &#8220;Roseanne&#8221; is a member of the working class, making her an avatar for Trump&#8217;s base. \u201cLike it or not,\u201d Maher said, \u201cyou are now the face of the Trump supporter because you really do speak for a certain kind of American who knows they\u2019re being screwed by someone, they just don\u2019t know who. But here\u2019s what you\u2019re missing about Trump: When he says he\u2019s \u2018looking out for &#8216;the little guy,\u2019 he\u2019s talking about his dick. And as your friend, Roseanne, I must remind you of something very important: You\u2019re a socialist!
