As part of the SXSW Film Awards, the Excellence in Title Design Competition aims to discover the best in contemporary <strong>title sequence design<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>If you are interested in submitting a title design to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sxsw.com\/festivals\/film\/\">2019 SXSW Film Festival<\/a>, we are only a week away from the <strong>Early Submission Deadline on August 23<\/strong>. Before you submit, be sure to take a look at our guidelines below to ensure your title design is eligible for SXSW and check out the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sxsw.com\/apply-to-participate\/film-submissions\/\">Film Submissions<\/a> page for deadlines and fees.<\/p>\n<h3>Title Design Competition Guidelines<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>Eligibility for the Title Design Competition is open to any <strong>Film<\/strong>, <strong>Television<\/strong>, <strong>Conference Title<\/strong>, <strong>Student Project Title<\/strong>, or <strong>Video Game<\/strong> title sequence.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><strong>The title sequence can stand alone<\/strong>, and does not have to be related to a feature or short film submitted to the film festival.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>All title design submissions <strong>must be less than 10 minutes in length<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>SXSW <strong>does NOT place any restrictions<\/strong> on the premiere status of title design entries.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Your title design must have been completed in <strong>2017<\/strong>, <strong>2018<\/strong> or be on track for completion in <strong>early 2019<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>All title design projects must be submitted via a secure URL link. Please note, <strong>if you change this link or any of your login information prior to March 2019<\/strong> without contacting SXSW your submission may become ineligible for consideration.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>For specific questions about submitting your title design project, look no further than our <a href=\"https:\/\/support.sxsw.com\/hc\/en-us\/sections\/201312865-Film-Submissions\">Film Submissions FAQ<\/a>. Still have questions? Don\u2019t hesitate to email <a href=\"mailto:filmfest@sxsw.com\">filmfest@sxsw.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Once you have submitted, you will receive a confirmation email from SXSW within <strong>48 hours<\/strong>. This email will confirm that your music video has been submitted correctly. If you do not receive this email within 48 hours, you should follow up by email (<a href=\"mailto:filmfest@sxsw.com\">filmfest@sxsw.com<\/a>) to ensure your project has been submitted properly and is under consideration.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>All applicants will be <strong>informed of the status<\/strong> of their project no later than Friday, February 8, 2019.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cart.sxsw.com\/products\/titleapp\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"button\">Submit Your Title Design<\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Join Us in March 2019<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"\/attend\">Registration<\/a> and <a href=\"\/hotels\">housing<\/a> are now open for SXSW 2019. A <a href=\"https:\/\/cart.sxsw.com\/products\/reg-film\">Film Badge<\/a> gets you primary access to all SXSW Film events including <strong>Film Keynotes and Featured Sessions<\/strong>, <strong>world premieres<\/strong>, <strong>roundtables<\/strong>, <strong>workshops<\/strong>, and <strong>parties<\/strong>.
