We\u2019re down to the last week before SXSW begins, and we still have more to share with you.<\/p>\n

We\u2019re pleased to announce the addition of eight new conference sessions<\/a>, including SXSW Keynote Garth Brooks<\/strong>; the multi-platinum country icon will exchange stories with Amazon\u2019s VP of Digital Music Steve Boom<\/strong>. In honor of Prince, original members of Prince\u2019s band Andre Cymone<\/strong> and Dez Dickerson<\/strong> will share memories, recollections, and insights at Birth of a Purple Nation<\/strong>, veteran rapper T.I.<\/strong> will discuss his career as it continues to hit new highs in the wake of his politically charged new material.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s move focus to this week\u2019s Showcasing Artist announcement<\/a>. Highlights include R&B star Tinashe<\/strong>, dance-punk group !!! (Chk Chk Chk)<\/strong>, reunited rockers Lift to Experience<\/strong> (who will will perform the reissue of their cult classic album The Texas-Jerusalem Crossroads), Ryan Adams<\/strong>, 2016 breakout dream-pop singer Japanese Breakfast<\/strong>, DJ Lo Down Loretta Brown aka Erykah Badu<\/strong>, and more. We also released details for the SXSW Music Opening Party sponsored by Sensu<\/a> this week \u2013 that\u2019s set for Tuesday, March 14 at Maggie Mae\u2019s and Maggie Mae\u2019s Rooftop<\/a>.<\/p>\n
