This week, the National Science Foundation (NSF) is initiating a new pilot template for identifying Collaborators and Other Affiliations (COA) information for Principal Investigators (PIs), co-PIs, and other senior project personnel identified on proposals submitted in FastLane. As part of the new Proposal and Award Policies & Procedures Guide (PAPPG), all PIs/personnel must upload their COA information as a Single Copy Document, in order to have a standard, searchable format for review panels. The goal of the template is to reduce administrative burden by providing submitters with a compliant and reusable format for this requirement in all NSF proposals. This template only applies to FastLane proposal submissions; Grants.gov submission processes are unchanged. The template, as well as relevant instructions, can be found here.
NSF is soliciting feedback on the use of the template until July 14, 2017, which can be submitted here. Responses will inform the development of the next PAPPG, scheduled to go into effect in January 2018.
