The Society for the Humanities at Cornell University is inviting applications for its 2019-20 Fellowship Program from scholars whose research projects reflect on the 2019-20 theme of energy.
The program welcomes applications from scholars and practitioners who are interested in investigating the topic from the broadest variety of international and disciplinary perspectives.
For the 2019-20 academic year, fellows should be working on topics related to the theme of energy from a variety of disciplinary humanistic perspectives and practices. Fellows’ approach to the humanities should be broad enough to appeal to students and scholars in several humanistic disciplines.
Each fellow will receive $50,000. Fellows who are living outside North America are eligible for an additional $2,000 to assist with travel costs.
Applicants must have received a PhD degree before January 1, 2018. Applicants also must have one or more years of teaching experience, which may include teaching as a graduate student. International scholars are welcome to apply, contingent on visa eligibility.
See the Society for Humanities website for complete program guidelines and application instructions.
