The mission of the\u00a0NLN Foundation for Nursing Education<\/a>\u00a0is to raise, steward, and distribute funds that promote excellence in nursing education to build a strong and diverse nursing workforce.<\/p>\n

To that end, the NLN Foundation Scholarship Awards program supports the goal of attracting more seasoned and ethnically diverse nurses to become nurse educators. Scholarships of up to $8,000 will be awarded to assist in the completion of graduate education, which could include tuition, support for dissertation or thesis, or travel for attendance at an onsite internship or classes.<\/p>\n

To be eligible, applicants must be nurses pursuing advanced degrees in preparation for a career as a full-time academic nurse educator. In addition, applicants must be NLN members either through individual dues or through their schools\u2019 NLN membership.<\/p>\n

The foundation will begin accepting applications on February 18, 2019.<\/p>\n
