As you may have already heard, Foundation Center joined forces with GuideStar to become Candid, a single organization! Please read our\u00a0press release<\/a>\u00a0for more context on the combining of our two organizations.\n<\/div>\n
We\u2019re changing the way we serve you<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Bringing Candid\u2019s vision to life requires a transformative approach to how we deliver programs and services to nonprofits – on the ground and online. Some of Candid\u2019s core assets include the resources that you have come to rely on from Foundation Center: our virtual and in-person trainings; Foundation Directory Online (FDO), our signature database for finding funding; Grantspace.org, our one-stop online portal for nonprofit professionals; and our Funding Information Network (FIN), which is 400+ mission-aligned partners in the U.S. and across the globe providing on-the-ground support to strengthen their communities.<\/p>\n

We\u2019re excited to share that Candid will deepen our investment in these existing services that help you advance your work. We\u2019ll double down on our efforts to share the most up-to-date information on what it takes to build impact-ready sustainable organizations. And, we\u2019ll be able to deliver to you the most up-to-date data and intelligence you need, as the world\u2019s largest source of information on nonprofit organizations. We\u2019ll show you how to amplify your voice and demonstrate your commitment to results through GuideStar Profiles, a free service to all nonprofits.<\/p>\n

Through deeper and closer collaboration with our network of FIN partners, we\u2019ll ensure that quality in-person reference services are available, far and wide.<\/b>\u00a0We\u2019ll shift our efforts in maintaining our own direct-service locations to focusing on our FINs \u2013 which are already in your communities across the 50 states and six countries. We\u2019re thrilled to start 2019 with this as our commitment to you!<\/p>\n

What does this mean for Candid\u2019s library in Atlanta?\u00a0<\/b><\/i><\/p>\n

We\u2019ll begin redirecting library customers to our nearby FIN locations starting this year. Our team is in the final stages of selecting our new home in Atlanta and we\u2019re eager to share more details in the coming months. We will not be open to the public for access to our databases at the new location. But, we\u2019ll host some of our trainings on-site and focus on bringing our trainings to you, in community.<\/p>\n

Rather than asking you to come to us for in-person training or support, our team will be coming to a neighborhood near you:<\/b>\u00a0we\u2019ve already scheduled pop-up visits and trainings at local FINs or other convenient places in Atlanta metro and look forward to seeing you there. Go to\u00a0GrantSpace<\/a>\u00a0for a complete listing of programs and visits we\u2019ve scheduled so far.<\/p>\n

How will Candid\u2019s programs change?<\/b><\/i><\/p>\n

Short-term:<\/b>\u00a0They won\u2019t. Our team will continue delivering services and trainings to meet the needs of our community. We are committed to delivering all of the great in-person programs that we\u2019re known for \u2013 from cohort circles to proposal writing boot camps, to larger, annual convenings. The only difference is that we will host these programs out in the community instead of in our own office. If you\u2019re interested in hosting any of our programs in the near future, get in touch.<\/p>\n

Long-term:\u00a0<\/b>Candid\u2019s programs will only get better. Combining Foundation Center\u2019s rich data and research skills with the robust services provided by GuideStar leads to an expanded \u2013 and more diverse \u2013 portfolio of offerings to you. 2019 will be a year of strategizing and planning for a future where we can better serve the community we care the most about: you.<\/p>\n
