The Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) has opened six museum grant programs to support museum projects\u00a0and the museum field, with applications due for each program\u00a0<strong>November 15, 2019<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.imls.gov\/grants\/available\/museum-grants-african-american-history-and-culture\">Museum Grants for African American History and Culture<\/a>;<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.imls.gov\/grants\/available\/native-americannative-hawaiian-museum-services-program\">Native American\/Native Hawaiian Museum Services<\/a>;<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.imls.gov\/grants\/available\/inspire-grants-small-museums\">Inspire! Grants for Small Museums<\/a>;<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.imls.gov\/grants\/available\/museums-america\">Museums for America<\/a>;<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.imls.gov\/grants\/available\/museums-empowered-professional-development-opportunities-museum-staff\">Museums Empowered<\/a>; and<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.imls.gov\/grants\/available\/national-leadership-grants-museums\">National Leadership Grants for Museums<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>As noted last week in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.aascu.org\/grc\/GrantWeekWeb.aspx?id=11775&amp;&amp;pubdate=2019-08-12#30\">GrantWeek<\/a>, potential applicants can also attend one of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.imls.gov\/news\/imls-offers-grants-workshops-museums-six-regions-across-nation\">IMLS regional museum grants workshops<\/a>\u00a0for a deeper dive into the guidelines of all the museum grants programs and initiatives, as well as the application process (five workshops remain from August 19 through September 26).
