\u200bA\u200bs reported in\u00a0The Washington Post<\/a>, The U.S. House of Representatives passed a Continuing Resolution September 19, in order to keep the\u00a0federal government funded through November 21 and allow FY\u00a020\u00a0budget negotiations to continue for seven weeks beyond the current deadline. The U.S. Senate is expected to pass the bill this week and it is anticipated that President Trump will sign the bill into law before the September 30 deadline to avoid a government shutdown. It had been hoped that a deal reached in July between House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and the Trump Administration would make the negotiations easier by setting overall funding levels for FY 20 and FY 21 and suspending the debt ceiling until after the 2020 election.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
