Raised in Virginia with her three sisters, her work reflects her family history.\u00a0 She enjoys a wide range of mediums but currently works in ceramics. Daniel was diagnosed with Chiari Malformation type 1, she often creates illustrations that depict the struggles of living with this medical issue. I also explore in my ceramic vessels the after effects that the medicine or surgery can have on the human body such as; harming the heart, weakening the skull, and spine. The imagery I use started as a way to educate myself about my own condition, it later morphed into a discussion over the wide range of effects that affect the human body.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.valdosta.edu\/seniorcatfa17\/meet-us\/\">Back<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; Casey Daniel currently lives in Valdosta, Georgia and received her B.F.A. from Valdosta State University.
