BlazerReef is a 125 gallon coral reef fish tank on display in the Bailey Science Center.
Currently the tank is home to 4 species of fish and over 20 species of marine invertebrate, including stony corals, soft corals, sponges, molluscs, anemones and shrimp.
In addition to the main display tank is another 80 gallons of seawater, being filtered and recirculated through the system. All of which is maintained and monitored by a team of undergraduates in the MarEco Lab.
Organisms living on BlazerReef were made possible from support from the Department of Biology and donations from Frank Ruttinger.
