- BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Valdosta State junior men's golfer Alexander Nilehn was named to the Gulf South Conference Spring All-Academic Team for the second consecutive year, while 64 Blazers earned GSC Spring Academic Honor Roll recognition.
- VALDOSTA, Ga. – A total of 28 Valdosta State student-athletes were inducted into the Georgia Xi Chapter of Chi Alpha Sigma (XAΣ), the National Collegiate Student-Athlete Honor Society, at the 2026 VSU Athletic Awards Banquet Wednesday evening.
- VALDOSTA, Ga. – Valdosta State football senior Eric Watts and women's basketball junior Erin Whalen were named the Herb and Linda Reinhard Male and Female Student-Athletes of the Year, respectively, at the annual awards banquet Wednesday evening.
- PENSACOLA, Fla. – The Valdosta State baseball team (18-32, 12-21 GSC) dropped both ends of Saturday's doubleheader at West Florida (35-13, 21-12 GSC), falling 8-2 in game one and 6-4 in game two to close out the 2026 regular season. The Blazers conclude the year just outside of the Gulf South Conference Tournament field.
- PENSACOLA, Fla. – The Valdosta State baseball team (18-30, 12-19 GSC) rallied late but could not overcome an early 7-0 deficit in a 12-10 loss to West Florida (33-13, 19-12 GSC) on Friday night.
