- PENSACOLA, Fla. – Former Valdosta State women's basketball standout Shannon Williams was inducted Thursday evening into the Gulf South Conference Hall of Fame at the 2026 GSC Awards presented by Caldwell Architects.
- PENSACOLA, Fla. – The 2026 Gulf South Conference Awards presented by Caldwell Architects is set for Thursday, May 28 in Pensacola, Fla. Former Valdosta State women's basketball standout Shannon Williams will be inducted into the GSC Hall of Fame. The event will be streamed live on the GSC YouTube page beginning at 5 p.m. ET.
- VALDOSTA, Ga. – Valdosta State football senior Eric Watts and women's basketball junior Erin Whalen were named the Herb and Linda Reinhard Male and Female Student-Athletes of the Year, respectively, at the annual awards banquet Wednesday evening.
- VALDOSTA, Ga. – Valdosta State former women's basketball standout Shannon Williams (1986-90) will be inducted into the Gulf South Conference Hall of Fame for the Class of 2026. The Hall of Fame is comprised of the greatest student-athletes, coaches, or administrators in the league's history.
- VALDOSTA, Ga. – Valdosta State women's basketball junior Erin Whalen earned Gulf South Conference All-Academic honors, the league office announced Friday. In addition, the 2026 GSC Winter Academic Honor Roll was announced with ten women's basketball players and six men's basketball players were named to the GSC Academic Honor Roll.
