Dr. Kate Warner was recently awarded the United States Department of Education Office of Postsecondary Education Talent Search grant. The TS Program provides grants to institutions of higher education, public and private agencies and organizations,community-based organizations with experience in serving disadvantaged youth, combinations of such institutions, agencies and organizations, and secondary schools to operate projects that serve qualified individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds. The goal of TS is to encourage youth to complete secondary school and to enroll in and to complete postsecondary education.

Associate Dean of the College of Education and Human Services, Dr. Warner is a Marriage and Family Therapist who researches a variety of topics related to relational approaches to brief therapy. Her current research interests include sexuality, domestic violence, burnout prevention, and adoption.
