Creative Camera Moves and Transitions You Can Use on Your Next Music Video

Learn how to use camera work and shot transitions to make a creative, high-energy music video.

In it, Jordy Vandeput goes over a handful of creative camera movements and shot transitions that are simple to pull of and can be done with nothing more than an inexpensive tripod and slider. (No need for any spendy robots.)

A ‘Creed’ Sequel, Robert Zemeckis, Tyler Perry, & More Trailers You May Have Missed

Staying on top of the trailer circuit is a full-time job in and of itself. We’re here to help.

A mix of films opening this Summer and Fall make up the below crop of previews for this week’s Trailer Watch, including Sundance hits, Netflix comedies, anticipated sequels, and the return of filmmakers Tyler Perry and Robert Zemeckis. While no documentaries are represented outright, we are featuring two films that were, at the very least, inspired by the form (Skate Kitchen from doc filmmaker Crystal Moselle and Zemeckis’ Welcome to Marwen, based on the 2010 documentary Marwencol), proving that one can certainly provide inspiration for the other.

Leap Motion’s AR table tennis is a long way from your parents’ Pong

A new demo from Leap Motion shows that table tennis in mixed reality could be a lot of fun — you never have to pick up the ball, for starters. But its greatest potential may be in teaching players how to improve against A.I. opponents.

Find Your Words: Preserving Conversations About Depression with Kaiser Permanente

Many people experience depression. Even though it’s common, it’s not always easy to talk about.

We’ve been proud to partner with Kaiser Permanente as part of Find Your Words, a national public health awareness initiative focused on starting a conversation around mental health and wellness, by recording, preserving, and sharing conversations between people who’ve experienced depression and other mental health conditions and the loved ones who supported them through it.

Find out more about the project at findyourwords.org, and listen below to a few of the conversations we’ve collected.

Anthony and Judy

Anthony talks with his mother, Judy, about his struggles with schizoaffective disorder, anxiety, and depression.

Leo and Marc

Leo was 13 years old when he first experienced depression. Listen to Leo, now 16, talk with his dad, Marc, about what it’s like to live with depression.

Beth and Shawn

Listen to Beth Allen talk with her boyfriend, Shawn Smith, about how she came to understand and find the right treatment for her depression.

Francine and Richard

Francine has been living with cycles of depression since she was eight. She shares how powerful it is to be able to talk about it with friends, especially Richard, whose support has had a profound effect on her life.

Weird World Cup x Football Beyond Borders

Weird World Cup x Football Beyond Borders

Our good friend Gordon Reid and in collaboration with designer Callum Stephenson have set up a fun World Cup project. For this project they have commissioned 20 artists and designers from Yarza Twins, Velvet Spectrum, Brand Nu, Hey Studio, Craig Oldhamm, and to name a few. Why? To celebrate their favourite weird or hilarious moment from previous World Cups. All of the original pieces are then to be printed on beer mats and ‘exhibited’ in pubs around London in time for the World Cup. Check it out!

We invited twenty leading designers, illustrators and creatives to celebrate their favourite hilarious, weird and wonderful moments of previous World Cups by creating a piece of work to represent that moment. These pieces have then been printed onto limited edition beer mats and are being ‘exhibited’ in pubs around London right in time for the World Cup.

All of the money raised will be going to a charity we love, Football Beyond Borders. They are currently fundraising for a new multi purpose space in the Angell Town Estate in Brixton where the plan is to turn this space into an office, an FBB learning hub used for non-FBB Schools programmes and a safe haven for young people in London from disadvantaged backgrounds.
