This Infographic Gives You 30 Ways to Brainstorm Film Ideas
Can’t seem to spark any new film ideas? This infographic will help.
Isn’t life good when your brain seems to be a wellspring of creativity and good ideas? Yeah—and then the tap runs dry and your brain shrivels up into what is basically a crunched up piece of paper with shitty ideas and life, you begin to realize, has no meaning. To avoid this kind of nihilism, it’d benefit us all to learn a few ways to combat this creatively arid season, and StudioBinder has just the resource to help you.
It’s a nifty infographic that gives you 30 ways to come up with new and exciting film ideas when your own efforts are leaving you wanting, nay, needing more. However, instead of giving you mere story prompts, it shows you how and where to look to find potential stories. Some examples include taking note of cheap/free locations to which you have access, browsing Wiki articles, and making mood boards.

‘Ocean’s 8,’ Hallström, Wain, & More Trailers You May Have Missed
Staying on top of the trailer circuit is a full-time job in and of itself. We’re here to help.
A Futile and Stupid Gesture dir. David Wain)
Premiering at next month’s Sundance Film Festival and arriving on Netflix the week after, the latest from Wet Hot American Summer director David Wain is a comedic biopic documenting the rise and controversies surrounding the infamous National Lampoon comedy magazine and film “studio”. Known for its outlandish, raunchy humor and, with its production of John Landis’ Animal House (which now sits in the Library of Congress’ National Film Registry), the company had a wildly tumultuous ride up the ranks of the comedy world. Starring Will Forte as founder Doug Kenney, the film looks like it’s accentuating the outlandish of the magazine’s history as well as hinting at the in-house fighting that threatened to tear them apart. As one scene indicates, this may not be for dog-lovers. Release Date: January 26th, 2018, via Netflix

Dream-pop band Milk & Bone will their sophomore effort in early 2018, and if their recent single “Daydream” is any indication of what to expect, the record will definitely be one to keep an eye out for.
Provocative pop singer Forever has gained momentum through her live performances in the lead up to her forthcoming EP, which is set to be released in January 2018. Editorial Design: Cazador Cookbook by Tim Donaldson
Editorial Design: Cazador Cookbook by Tim Donaldson
This is an editorial design by New Zealand-based Creative Director Tim Donaldson, it’s a design of cookbook entitled: Cazador. The print material reminds me of an old cookbook which brings a great load of nostalgia. Once inside the book you are introduced to a few images which again keeps that vintage concept but you will notice the big beautiful fonts for the “chapters” and also use for a two-spread designated for quotes. Simple, lovely and quite efficient.
Tim Donaldson is a Creative Director at Sea Change Studio based in Auckland, New Zealand. His work is mostly around art direction, graphic design and branding; check out more for his work on Behance.
