ABOUT THE EVENT
The South Georgia Health and Wellness Summit is designed to enhance awareness and knowledge of available community resources for promoting mental, physical, and social health in the South Georgia Region. In 2019, 24% of people aged 12 or older with a past year substance use disorder did not receive treatment because they did not know where to go for help (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, 2020, https://www.samhsa.gov/data/).

This event is appropriate for service providers and community residents. Representatives from prevention, treatment and recovery focused agencies will share about their organization and services. Local experts will present on a variety of topics ranging from key issues threatening health and wellness to innovative programs and best practices.
