A few hours south of Valdosta is Orlando, a town filled with theme parks such as Disney World, Universal Studios, and Sea World. Over the summer my family spent a few days enjoying the animals and rides at Sea World. We had the opportunity to learn dolphin commands, explore penguin habitats, and pet a baby shark. Sea World has many shows throughout the day with trained animals. We watched the Shamu Show-Orca whales doing flips and tricks, Clyde and Seamore-the sea lion and walrus comedy show, and Dolphin Days-dolphins doing tricks. Sea World is known for rescueing and rehabilitating animals to be released back into the wild. While we were there, they had manatees that were being nursed back to good health. Besides animals, there were also rides for everyone. They have several roller coasters for the older folks and a kiddie zone for younger children.
