Treasures From The Archives: Explore VSU’s Yesteryears In Photos

    October 16, 2019

Valdosta State University has had many different names throughout the decades. What was originally founded as South Georgia State Normal College in 1906 became Georgia State Woman’s College in 1922, Valdosta State College in 1950, and VSU in 1993.

But through all the changes, one thing has remained constant: a rich culture of academics, athletics, art, celebration, and community.

Step into past eras of VSU with these snapshots provided by VSU Archives and Special Collections. (Click any photo to get a better look.)
