    Meet Omega Psi Phi!

    August 4, 2021

Get to know the Tau Delta Delta Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. with questions answered by President Randall Pace!

VSU: When was your chapter founded and chartered on the Valdosta State University campus?

RP: Founded on April 28, 1978, and charted on June 8, 1996.

VSU: What is your chapter’s philanthropy or mission?

RP: Make a difference and serve the community of not only VSU but all of Valdosta.

VSU: Tell us about your chapter.

RP: Starting in 1978, we were known as “The Mighty UN”. The Valdosta Ques were making a tremendous impact on the Valdosta State University campus. On June 8, 1996, we evolved as Tau Delta Delta chapter, better known as TΔ2!

VSU: What made you personally want to join this chapter?

RP: What personally made me want to join this chapter was the work I saw being done in Valdosta even though a suspension was placed on the chapter. They were still serving the community, being active with as much as they could with things such as voter registration, feeding the needy, etc. Nothing could stop TΔ2. I knew I had to be a part of this one-of-a-kind brotherhood.

VSU: Is there anything about your chapter that you are especially proud of?

RP: Our chapter has faced adversity in the past and has persevered through. I’m very proud of our return to campus and the impact that we will have on the Valdosta State University campus going forward.
