Who Will Rate the Innovation Grant Applications?

Posting this on behalf of Dr. Anthony J. Scheffler, Interim Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs, who will be chairing the Rating Committee.

“At the close of the submission period, the 2017 Innovation Grant applications will be rated using a prescribed, publicly available rubric. There are 20 raters on the rating committee. Each college, including the Graduate School, has two representatives identified by the respective Dean. Financial Services has two representatives as does Student Affairs. Odom Library, University Advancement, and Athletics each have one representative selected by the associated vice president or director. In addition there is one student representative, for a total of twenty raters. No rater will score his or her own application and every effort will be made to ensure that the authors of the applications remain anonymous throughout the rating process. President Staton will identify funds which will be earmarked in Fiscal Year 2017 (beginning July 1, 2016) for Project Innovation awards.”
