Art Faculty Publish Art Education Articles and Present at the Georgia Art Education Association Conference

Dr. Cindy Hasio and co-author Professor Tommy Crane published “Teaching Art a Greener Path: Integrating Sustainability Concepts of Interior Design Curriculum into the Art Education Curriculum.” It was published in the November 2014 issue of Art Education.

Dr. Hasio’s manuscript, “Encouraging Critical Thinking in the Art Class through a Creative Poster Lesson” was published with the journal Collage, (a publication of the Georgia Art Education Association), Vol. 6, Issue 1 in the October 2014 issue.

Dr. Hasio’s manuscript, “Visual Inspirations: The Pedagogical and Cultural Significance of Creative Posters in the Art Classroom” was accepted for publication in the Journal of College Teaching and Learning. It will come out in print January 2015 Vol. 12, Issue 1.

She also did two presentations at the Georgia Art Education Association Conference, Macon, GA: New Ways of Expression: Using Video to Teach Art and the Culture Crazy Drawings mixed media workshop.
