Teaching

Dr. Anderson currently teaches five courses at VSU:

  1. A required upper division course on “Ecology and Evolution” (BIOL 3250). Frequency: almost every semester.
  2. An upper division/graduate elective course on “Biostatistics” (BIOL 3000/5000) with implementation in R. Frequency: annual; usually in the fall..
  3. An upper division/graduate elective course on “Spatial Analysis” (BIOL 3050/5050) with implementation in R and PASSaGE; Frequency: biennial in the spring, even years.
  4. A graduate course in “Experimental Design” (BIOL 7050) with implementation in R.
  5. Senior Seminar (BIOL 4900): Career focused with academic and professional seminars, and career development exercises.

The MS students serve as graduate assistants for various biology courses, usually major and nonmajors biology lab courses.
