Students Participate in State of Georgia Student Auditions

Congratulations to VSU CoA Students for their accomplishments at State of Georgia Student Auditions

 

Ten VSU College of the Arts students participated in the Nov. 2, 3 State of Georgia Student Auditions sponsored by the Nat’l. Assn. of Teachers of Singing, held in Rome, GA. The singing auditions boasted participation by over 400 college and high school student singers, in both the classical and musical theater genres. Six of the ten VSU students won/placed in their respective categories.  Pictured, from left to right, are Terrance Searcy (Musical Theater-Overall Winner, 3rd Year Men), Savannah Kern (Musical Theater-2nd Place, 1st Year Women), Lia Perez [kneeling] (Musical Theater), Isaiah Ricks (Classical, 2nd Place, 2nd Year Men), Makinsey Rosser, (Classical, 1st Place, 4th Year Women), Jenasis Reyes [kneeling] (Classical), Katie George (Classical).  Not pictured are Daniel Lennox (Musical Theater-3rd Place, 2nd Year Men), KayLee Lamb (Musical Theater-2nd Place, 3rd Year Women), and Ursula Trasorras (Musical Theater).  Sponsoring COA faculty members, who also served as Audition Judges, are Mark McQuade, Joe Mason, Dorea Cook, and Carol Mikkelsen.
