Degreeworks Maintenance

Production Degreeworks will be out of service for system maintenance starting at 3:00pm on August 22, 2014 to 7:00am on August 29, 2014.

During this time period, users will be unable to access plans, audits, and any other information pulled from Degreeworks. Attempts to transfer to Degreeworks from Banner will result in errors.

If you need access to Degreeworks information during the maintenance period:
Print out a paper copy or save a PDF copy before 3pm Friday on August 22!

Critical Security Software Updates

Tuesday morning at 2:00am on July 29, 2014 campus computers will receive a software update to better protect against viruses, malware, and botnets. The update will automatically restart computers that are left on. Users are strongly urged to save any work before leaving Monday evening, July 28. For computers that are powered off, the restart will occur when powered back on. This campus-wide software update only applies to computers running the Microsoft Windows operating system.

In a continued effort to provide better service, faculty and staff can expect all future updates to be performed during a 2:00 AM Monday night/Tuesday morning. IT will notify the campus community of future updates well in advance. Restarts are expected to be required at least twice monthly on all computers. Some computers may require a technician to manually update the software and if this is needed, someone from IT will come by the department to assist.

Banner Offline for Fiscal Year-End

Banner will be offline starting Monday, June 30, at 10:00pm until Tuesday, July 1, at 11:59pm for fiscal year-end processing. During this time Banner INB and  Banner self-service will be inaccessible, and any automated processes or data feeds will not run.  A notice will be sent out when services are restored.

Before leaving for the holiday break, we recommend users close files and shutdown personal computers if possible. Numerous upgrades and enhancements will be performed over the next three weeks. These upgrades are needed to improve service, functionality, and support.
