Job Description

The core mission of the Training and Communication branch of the Division of Information Technology (IT) is to advertise new IT services or changes in existing IT services to mitigate support needs through advance user awareness, training workshops, and one-on-one support; while also sharing IT’s success stories with stakeholders.

Duties for this position include, but are not limited to:
• Development and distribution of quality content through a variety of mediums and channels (video, web, print, social media, etc.)
• Offering customer training and technical support, one-on-one or as a workshop on campus-supported software and hardware
• Supporting supervisors and creating internal procedural documentation for Training and Communication
• Participating in projects supporting the respective missions of the university and division
• Seeking and pursuing opportunities for related personal skill growth

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual with strong work ethics and interest in pursuing a career within a communications field and/or one who has an interest in technology support. Our ideal candidate would be detail-oriented, demonstrate strong oral and written communications skills, and possess some proficiency in related software packages, such as Adobe Photoshop.

Shifts will range from 8AM to 5:30PM Monday through Thursday and 8AM to 3PM on Friday. The IT department will issue uniforms to employees at no cost. Issued uniforms must be worn at all times and must be returned in the event that employment is ended. This allows employees of the IT Department to be easily identified if a student, staff, or faculty member is in need of service, as well as allowing these employees access to otherwise restricted areas.
