SUMMARY:

This is an entry-level position for students interested in pursuing a career in information security after graduation. This position’s responsibilities include: identification and reporting potential risks and incidents, promotion of a safe and secure information technology environment, and working closely with a team of security professionals to ensure proper documentation and response for security needs. Our ideal candidate would have high initiative and work ethics, attention to detail, ability to communicate clearly and effective, and possess some basic knowledge of networking concepts.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be a current Valdosta State University student enrolled for six or more credit hours and maintaining at least a 2.0 cumulative grade point average • Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Willingness to learn and work in a team environment
• Strong initiative and work ethics
• Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems
